What is CBD?

CBD, or Cannabidiol is one of over 100 naturally occurring cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. It has significant beneficial properties, and does not leave you feeling intoxicated, like THC. Cannabidiol interacts with the Endocannabinoid System or ECS. Your ECS regulates many of the body’s critical wellness functions, including inflammation and sleep. Regular consumers of Bella’s Gold CBD consistently include our product as part of their daily wellness routine.

What is CBDA?

CBDA or cannabidiolic acid is the precursor to CBD and found abundantly in the plant in nature. When heat is applied through smoking or processing, the acid molecule is released to form CBD. Studies suggest raw CBDA is many times more effective than CBD and even more effective when used in combination. CBDA retains more of its powerful, pure terpenes and can enhance the effects of CBD so you get better results with smaller doses creating a better value.

What is CBDG?

CBG (cannabigerol) is often referred to the mother of all cannabinoids. Like all other cannabinoids, CBG interacts with your body’s regulatory Endocannabinoid System (ECS). The ECS has systemic effects on the body’s overall homeostasis, including the digestive system. There are few reasons not to include CBG in most products.

What is full spectrum CBD oil?

As we learn more about how to improve balance and overall health in the body, we are encouraged to consume natural antioxidants and neuroprotectants. Full spectrum CBD oil contains the highest levels of the plant’s naturally occurring cannabinoids, terpenes, and other native benefits.

Our Full Spectrum CBD oil contains less than .3% THC. At Bella’s Gold, we consider full spectrum oil superior oil and use a blend of CBD and CBDA oil as our base in most of our products.

What is the endocannabinoid system?

Your endocannabinoid system is a widespread network of cannabinoid receptors, C1 and CB2, found throughout every system in your body including your brain, organs, immune system, connective tissue, and nervous system.  When your body fails to produce enough of its own cannabinoids, we look to time-tested approaches to improve its homeostasis.

While we at Bella’s Gold do not make any medical claims, through us, our CBD customers are introduced to the ECS and the criticality of maintaining balance at its receptor sites.

What are terpenes?

Terpenes, similar to essential oils, are found naturally in Cannabis plants. Each has a distinct smell, taste, and powerful benefits. Terpenes interact with cannabinoids like CBD and THC in the bloodstream creating the entourage effect, which means they produce stronger effects together than either could achieve on their own. Not only do Bella’s Gold products contain cannabis derived terpenes, but we have also created proprietary terpene blends to ensure even better results.

Which CBD product is right for me?

There are many products and delivery methods available. Making the right choice is undoubtedly personal to your biological make up, delivery method preference and needs. Here a general guide for the products we offer. The main reasons people do not get results using CBD products, regardless of the delivery method, is they do not choose the right product for their needs, they stop taking the product too soon, do not use the product consistently, or they have not found the optimal dose. Please make sure that each product clearly labels how much CBD is in each dose, in the whole product and offers certificates of analysis (COAs) by a third party. We highly advise taking any product for an absolute minimum of 30 days once but preferably 60 days once you have found the correct product and optimal dosing. Results tend to build gradually over time, and it takes consistency with the correct dosage before feeling noticeable results. So, let’s discuss product selection.

Tinctures are great place to start. They are taken sublingually, under the tongue, absorb into the cells quickly and allow for very small adjustments in dosage with great accuracy. Effects are generally noticed within 15-30 minutes and results can last up to 4 hours.

Gummies/edibles are an extremely popular choice for CBD users. Because edibles are processed through digestion, they take longer to activate, up to 2 hours, but can provide relief for 6 hours or more. Edibles can take some experimenting to find optimal dosing, and effects can change based on several factors including when and what you have eaten. Consuming an edible after a meal or snack with a little fat will help absorb and activate your edible more quickly. We always suggest initially starting with a smaller dose and waiting at least 2 hours before consuming more until you are comfortable with how an edible affects you.

High Dose Nano emulsified tablets are our proprietary blend of Nano emulsified CBD, CBDA, CBG with terpenes. By using ultrasonic waves to reduce particle size by over 4000%, your body can convert these cannabinoids into more usable compounds that interact with your endocannabinoid system more efficiently. Nano CBD is 2-5X’s more available to your cells and activates much faster than traditional CBD products. This is by far our most cost-effective option for those needing higher doses of cannabinoids. Our Nano Tablets should be considered if:

  1. You have tried smaller doses of CBD (10-40mg) without noticeable benefit.
  2. You are experiencing significant system tensions. There is research that suggests higher doses of CBD, in the 300mg+ range, are required for some people to fully experience the benefits of CBD. We recommend starting with one pill in the morning for the first week to 10 days. Charting your level of discomfort on a scale of 1-10 at the beginning of each week will help assess incremental improvements. If you are not experiencing noticeable results after 10 days, then add a second tablet in the middle of the day. After a 30-day period you should have a very good idea whether higher doses will help you achieve your ultimate desired effect.
  3. You have a large animal 100lbs or more that requires large doses of CBD. This formula is a much more economical choice.

Topicals and salves have been used for centuries to address surface discomfort and muscle strain, but they do not penetrate the dermal layer well. If a topical is not giving you the desired effect, we highly recommend combining it with a tincture or edible. Many clients report best results when using a tincture or edible in combination with a topical.

How do I take CBD?

CBD oil is fat soluble so it will remain in your fat cells and may require a period of time to regulate the optimal dose. Dosing is highly individualized and dependent on what you are treating. Regardless of the form of CBD, it is always advisable to start with smaller doses (in the range of 20mg.) and gradually increase every 3 or 4 days. Splitting the dose into AM and PM is also advisable but not essential. It takes consistency and dialing in the correct dosage before seeing noticeable results. Because results can be gradual and incremental, we highly advise taking CBD for a minimum of 60 days before making a decision to stop.

Why should I use a full plant extract?

The whole Cannabis plant has hundreds of powerful compounds naturally included in the plant that are void in industrial hemp products. These include terpenes that give Cannabis their smell. But each terpene also has a uniquely valuable property associated with it. This explains why certain strains work better per individual circumstances. There are also minor cannabinoids including CBC, CBG and THCV, to name a few. To top it off there are also flavonoids that alter the taste of each strain. In combination, these hundreds of compounds create what is called “the entourage effect,” which means that in combination, these compounds are much more effective than if taken individually. If you see a product claiming to be 98% pure, that is a good indication that an isolated CBD product is being used which needs much higher doses to be effective. At Bella’s Gold, we are believers in full spectrum products and use them whenever possible.
